I have been writing articles and submitting them to various article directories for around a year now. At the outset I had a multitude of subjects to write about. After a few months however, I started to get what is known as writers block. I had absolutely no idea what to write my next article about. In this article I give advice about how to react when this happens, advice which I hope will help you to continue to write quality and original articles.
I developed a stutter when I was four years of age and it continued to affect my life for the next eighteen years. After a lot of hard work I was able to “stop stuttering” and I have been fluent for the last fourteen years. I now run one-to-one speech courses where I coach other people to also eradicate their stutter. I feel I know quite a lot about the subject and found it quite easy and enjoyable to write about all aspects of stuttering.
After a while I could not think of anything new to write about stuttering, which would be of value to people and made the mistake or re-writing some of the articles using different words. Much to my ignorance I was not aware that this was frowned upon – I now realise that I should have read the article marketing guidelines at the outset – I guess I was just to eager to get started on writing those articles. Either that or employ a company that could provide me with a professional article submission service.
I then wrote about some of the experiences from my own life, like how I coped when my now ex-girlfriend left me and even stories about my dog!
One morning I woke up with very good intentions, I was planning on writing three or four new articles. After turning on my laptop and starting up windows I just sat there hoping that I would gain some inspiration from some where. I attempted to tell my brain to start writing but it was like my mind was frozen and could not think of any suitable or worthwhile words. The problem was that I could not think of anything to write about. There was only one thing for it – I needed more sleep therefore I returned to my bed. I seem to be able to think clearer from my bed, a bit weird I know.
I decided that I was not only going to write about my own life and experiences but I would also write about my family and friends. Other areas I could write about would be:
How to promote a website
Web design
Self confidence
Travel
Sport
Business
These are all areas I have a great interest in and even though they are not my main line of business, the articles should be of interest to people. Most of the topics which I have listed are things which I or people I know, have had experiences with. The majority of people who have this form of speech impediment (stuttering) will have a lower self-esteem than the average fluent person – this is for obvious reasons in reality.
