There are an ever increasing number of article directories springing up, attemting to take advantage of the popularity that has become of writing articles as a form of web promotion and have in the past even used a manual article submission service. What people can be unsure of however, is which of these sites to post their article to. In this article I write about the article directories which I use.

EzineArticles

Ezinearticles was where I posted my very first article. It seems so long ago now, where in truth it was probably only around ten months ago. This directory was recommended to me by a friend who is a jobs in foster care expert and he also offers Voucher Codes. In my opinion is certainly one of the best. Prior to being published on their site they conduct a review of the article to ensure that it meets their editorial guidelines – this is what makes this article marketing directory stand out from the crowd – well it is one of the things.

When you search for the title of your article a few days after it has been accepted in for example the search engine google, you are normally able to see it highly placed in the results. One of the first articles I submitted was called stuttering and its effects, this article is still placed in the top ten of google after many months.

If you are only planning on submitting your article to one directory this is the one I would advise that you use.

Goarticles

Many people, including a business contact who writes articles about obtaining cheap calls, have told me that they prefer to use goarticles when looking for an article to add to their site. This would have to be one of the main reasons why I always publish my articles on this article marketing website.

Articlealley

One of the main things that impresses me about article alley is the fact that they also publish your articles on a couple of their other websites. What is more you do not even have to do any additional work. Any extra exposure can only be a good thing of course.

Articledasboard

I have been advised that this directory is becoming increasingly popular and is one I should be posting my article to. The site has a page rank of six which is always a good sign.

Ideamarketers

This directory is my fifth choice in order of merit and has many interesting articles.

It is hard to know how many of these directories people should be submitting their article to. I have been given lots of different advice on this subject and have decided to come up with my own conclusion. I personally normally submit my articles to around twenty of these sites but always the five above.

I have been writing articles and submitting them to various article directories for around a year now. When I started I felt very fresh and had plenty to write about. After a few months however, I started to get what is known as writers block. I had absolutely no idea what to write my next article about. I am going to be writing about ways in which people can fight back when these periods of writing drought appear, I hop you enjoy the read.

I developed a stutter when I was four years of age and it continued to affect my life for the next eighteen years. I have managed to overcome this speech impediment and as a career I now help other people to achieve fluency. I feel I know quite a lot about the subject and found it quite easy and enjoyable to write about all aspects of stuttering.

After a while I could not think of anything new to write about stuttering, which would be of value to people and made the mistake or re-writing some of the articles using different words. I must admit I was unaware that this was against the rules but now realise that each article needs to have original content, which I accept and understand. Either that or employ a company that could provide me with a professional article submission service.

I then wrote about some of the experiences from my own life, like how I coped when my now ex-girlfriend left me and even stories about my dog!

One morning I woke up with very good intentions, I was planning on writing three or four new articles. I turned on the computer and basically sat there. Come on write something, I tried to tell myself. The problem was that I could not think of anything to write about. There was only one thing for it – I needed more sleep therefore I returned to my bed. I seem to be able to think clearer from my bed, a bit weird I know.

I decided that I was not only going to write about my own life and experiences but I would also write about my family and friends. Other areas I could write about would be:

How to promote a website

Web design

Selling external doors

Self confidence

Travel

Sport

Business

These are all areas I have a great interest in and even though they are not my main line of business, the articles should be of interest to people. Most of the topics which I have listed are things which I or people I know, have had experiences with. The majority of people who have this form of speech impediment (stuttering) will have a lower self-esteem than the average fluent person – this is for obvious reasons in reality.

I have been writing articles and submitting them to various article directories for around a year now. At the outset I had a multitude of subjects to write about. After a few months however, I started to get what is known as writers block. I had absolutely no idea what to write my next article about. In this article I give advice about how to react when this happens, advice which I hope will help you to continue to write quality and original articles.

I developed a stutter when I was four years of age and it continued to affect my life for the next eighteen years. After a lot of hard work I was able to “stop stuttering” and I have been fluent for the last fourteen years. I now run one-to-one speech courses where I coach other people to also eradicate their stutter. I feel I know quite a lot about the subject and found it quite easy and enjoyable to write about all aspects of stuttering.

After a while I could not think of anything new to write about stuttering, which would be of value to people and made the mistake or re-writing some of the articles using different words. Much to my ignorance I was not aware that this was frowned upon – I now realise that I should have read the article marketing guidelines at the outset – I guess I was just to eager to get started on writing those articles. Either that or employ a company that could provide me with a professional article submission service.

I then wrote about some of the experiences from my own life, like how I coped when my now ex-girlfriend left me and even stories about my dog!

One morning I woke up with very good intentions, I was planning on writing three or four new articles. After turning on my laptop and starting up windows I just sat there hoping that I would gain some inspiration from some where. I attempted to tell my brain to start writing but it was like my mind was frozen and could not think of any suitable or worthwhile words.

Web design

How to become a foster parent

Self confidence

Travel

Sport

Business

These are all areas I have a great interest in and even though they are not my main line of business, the articles should be of interest to people.

Are you looking into ways of promoting and marketing your website? Would you like to increase the amount of traffic to your site? Are you looking to increase your online sales? Would you like to earn more money on a monthly basis from Google adsense? If you have answered yes to one or more of these questions, article marketing could be the answer for you.

I once was advised by a web promotion specialist about the benefits of article marketing; it proved to be very useful to him in helping to gain additional traffic to his stuttering and business cost reduction websites.

Writing articles has for many years been a popular way of going about increasing the number of backward links to ones site, but it can be a very boring and time consuming one. This is where a ghostwriter can become invaluable as they can do all of the donkey work for you. Most of these people are experienced, expert writers and are likely to produce a much better quality of article as well. The better the article is, the more likely it will be picked up and used on other websites by other webmasters.

You should be able to locate some of the best and also some of the more affordable ghostwriters by doing a simple search on Google. The fee for such a project differ as one would imagine however there are many people out there who offer affordable packages.

There are even people or establishments that offer to write an article for you and will also submit the article to a number of the main article directories. Articles-submission.com offer this service for only ten pounds. They also offer to submit an article that you have written to around twenty of the article directories for just £7. As many people know, writing each article is one thing, but then submitting it can also take a great deal of time.

So what would you say would be the most beneficial part of article marketing? Well it has to be the fact that it provides you for a variety of one-way backward links pointing to your website, this of course can only help it to climb up those all important search engine rankings. These type of links, without doubt, have the highest value.

You will of course not only obtain additional traffic from obtaining these links but the readers of your article are also potential visitors to your site.

I personally think that article marketing is an essential part of any serious web promotion project.

Article directories not only help you distribute your marketing message, it helps you get ranked faster on new keywords. While you can write tons of articles about generic related content to your site, you can also write articles that are a review of your services, or are a promotional piece that links to your site. Article directories usually do not discriminate against such content unless the quality is poor or it appears overly spammy.

Some article directories such as Ezine have human editors that read and approve every article. An article directory like this does not allow links in the content other than would be required to understand what you are writing about. These types of article directories do allow you to have a signature area where you can place a follow link back to your website. For this type of article directory, you want your content to appear professional and unbiased, and most of all avoid sounding like a sales pitch.

Remember, any articles you submit with a link to your site will usually be associated with your brand (or remembered as such). So you always want to submit quality articles and not a lot of junk that does not read or make sense even if an article directory allows you to do so. If you plan on having others help you write articles, make sure the quality remains high as these often get redistributed giving you additional links you did not plan on. Also, you should try to not submit multiple copies of the exact same text to different article directories. A few times is alright, but you have to realize your content will be redistributed by others also, and all this duplicate content can get you penalized by the search engines.
