Ezinearticles was where I posted my very first article. It seems so long ago now, where in truth it was probably only around ten months ago. This directory was recommended to me by a friend who is a jobs in foster care expert and he also offers Voucher Codes. In my opinion is certainly one of the best. One of the main things that impresses me about article alley is the fact that they also publish your articles on a couple of their other websites. What is more you do not even have to do any additional work. Any extra exposure can only be a good thing of course.

I have been advised that this directory is becoming increasingly popular and is one I should be posting my article to. The site has a page rank of six which is always a good sign.

This directory is my fifth choice in order of merit and has many interesting articles.

It is hard to know how many of these directories people should be submitting their article to. I have been given lots of different advice on this subject and have decided to come up with my own conclusion. I personally normally submit my articles to around twenty of these sites but always the five above.

So what would you say would be the most beneficial part of article marketing? Well it has to be the fact that it provides you for a variety of one-way backward links pointing to your website, this of course can only help it to climb up those all important search engine rankings. These type of links, without doubt, have the highest value.

You will of course not only obtain additional traffic from obtaining these links but the readers of your article are also potential visitors to your site.

I personally think that article marketing is an essential part of any serious web promotion project.

Some article directories such as Ezine have human editors that read and approve every article. An article directory like this does not allow links in the content other than would be required to understand what you are writing about. These types of article directories do allow you to have a signature area where you can place a follow link back to your website. For this type of article directory, you want your content to appear professional and unbiased, and most of all avoid sounding like a sales pitch.

Remember, any articles you submit with a link to your site will usually be associated with your brand (or remembered as such). So you always want to submit quality articles and not a lot of junk that does not read or make sense even if an article directory allows you to do so. If you plan on having others help you write articles, make sure the quality remains high as these often get redistributed giving you additional links you did not plan on. Also, you should try to not submit multiple copies of the exact same text to different article directories. A few times is alright, but you have to realize your content will be redistributed by others also, and all this duplicate content can get you penalized by the search engines.
